Painswick

The quaint, traditional, chocolate box village of Painswick is nestled in the surrounding hills of the Cotwolds. As you drive down the country lanes, the church spire stands prominently in the distance.


Access

Advantages

  • Ramped under pass from car park to church yard and yew trees
  • All tarmacked
  • Public disabled toilets, free
  • Corner shop
  • St. Mary’s church is accessible via a ramp

Disadvantages

  • Handful of disabled parking spaces at the top of a steep hill
  • A lot of the dips in the kerbs don’t line up
  • Steep in places
  • A lot of the restaurants have steep or multiple steps
  • The pavement on the main road is very narrow and uneven
  • You can get there via car or bus
